Is a Portuguese choreographer, dancer and visual artist. After the Painting course at IAO / FRESS - Instituto de Artes e Ofícios in Lisbon, she focused on interior decorative painting and stage set design. From 1999 to 2002 she studied Visual Arts - Sculpture at ESAD - Escola Superior de Arte e Design of Caldas da Rainha, where she explored the three-dimensional space and made contact for the first time with Performance Art, which allowed her to diversify form and creation strategies. In 2006 she obtained the licence degree on Dance - Performance branch, from ESD - Escola Superior de Dança in Lisbon, based on her previous experience as a federated acrobat gymnast. She has been developing solo and in collaboration projects since 1999. Her practice relates different modes of expression - such as drawing, painting, sculpture, installation, sewing and collage - to body work. The transversality of the media is a characteristic of her work. Her creations explore the fluidity of linguistic boundaries and space from visual arts to dance, from installation to performance art and theater. Currently she´s researching on identity transcendence, ecological thinking, solidary shared investment, human landscapes and natural environments. Since 2007 she has been working as a dancer with Portuguese choreographer Tânia Carvalho, amongst other artists, performing internationally. Driven by an interest in Socia(B)le Art, she´s also currently working on social development with the project “Bonjour Voisin, Beste Buurman”, an open air participatory art painting and urban installation with the painter Blaise Patrix and "Les ateliers pARTage. She considers the mixture of artistic sources as a diversified inspiration, and art as the vehicle for a pacification message and social awareness. Nowadays she is an associated member of the Brussels based structure Artist Commons. At present, she´s preparing a new solo creation for a 61 years old performer.
