Miranda
(C) Vincent Van Utterbeeck
Outline
A pregnant character happens to be in the process of redefining their gender identity. This significant changing process matches the image that the character has of themself, and represents a rite of passage into new identities. Miranda questions our freedom and prejudice as human beings. It evokes four statuses of body character and its three transformations. The piece offers a controversial landscape about transgender sexuality and tries to dislodge dead ends by opening new horizons. Inspiration Board
